ConjuGuru ("the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our Japanese conjugation practice application.

Information We Collect

Performance Data (Local Storage)

The App stores practice performance data locally on your device using Hive database:

• Practice attempt records (word, conjugation type, accuracy)
• Session statistics (overall accuracy, weakest items)
• Practice history timestamps

This data never leaves your device and is used solely to track your learning progress.

User Preferences (Local Storage)

The App stores user preferences locally on your device using SharedPreferences:

• Selected voice preferences
• Word filter settings (JLPT level, word types)
• Conjugation filter settings
• Demo mode state

This data never leaves your device and is used solely to maintain your app settings.

Audio Files (Cached Data)

When you download audio files for offline use:

• Audio files are cached locally on your device
• Files are downloaded from Cloudflare R2 storage
• No personal information is transmitted during downloads
• Cache can be cleared at any time from app settings

Information We Do NOT Collect

• Personal identification information (name, email, phone number) in the current version
• Location data
• Device identifiers for tracking purposes
• Usage analytics or telemetry
• Contacts, photos, or other device data

Future Features

Premium Account System (Planned)

A future version of ConjuGuru will include premium features requiring user authentication:

• Google Sign-In: Optional authentication for premium features
• Account Data: Email address and Google account ID for premium user verification
• Data Usage: Account information will be used solely for premium feature access and will not be shared with third parties

This privacy policy will be updated before implementing any account system.

Third-Party Services

Audio Generation

Audio files were generated using Microsoft Azure Voice Services. These files are pre-generated and hosted on Cloudflare R2. No real-time requests are made to Azure services during app usage.

Cloudflare R2

Audio files are downloaded from Cloudflare R2 storage:

• Downloads use standard HTTPS connections
• No personal information is transmitted
• No cookies or tracking data is collected

Data Security

• All practice data is stored locally on your device
• No data transmission to external servers (except audio file downloads)
• Audio downloads use secure HTTPS connections
• No user accounts or authentication in current version

Children's Privacy

ConjuGuru does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age. The App can be used by anyone for Japanese language learning without providing any personal information.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access Your Data: All data is stored locally and accessible through the app
• Delete Your Data: Uninstalling the app removes all local data
• Clear Cache: Audio cache can be cleared from app settings
• Opt Out: No data collection requires opt-out as no personal data is collected

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, particularly when adding premium features or account systems. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
